EA should also treat it like Nintendo treats Super Smash Bros. This could actually work in EA's favor, as the lower price point will likely draw in more players. However, these season passes need to be cheaper than a normal expansion pack. This also would still allow players to pick and choose what content they want in their game, since not all Simmers want the same stuff in their worlds. For example, a "Night Life" season could introduce content like vampires, bands, clubs and celebrities. Like expansion packs now, seasonal updates could focus on certain themes. Obviously, EA isn't going to just stop making money from the Sims series, but it needs to replace the expansion pack model with something that allows the developers to innovate and introduce new content to the game. Such a thing is actually common in gaming nowadays in the form of seasonal content updates.
